Biology & Marine Biology
Madison Griffin is a junior at Duke University majoring in Biology with a concentration in Marine Biology. As a first year student, Madison was selected for the highly competitive Huang Fellows Program. As a fellow, she conducted research in the Alberts Lab at Duke, studying infant and juvenile baboon sociality and examining the effects of different covariates on mother-offspring relationships. Furthermore, Madison was recently selected for the prestigious Rachel Carson Scholars Program and is now focused on the marine mammal conservation. In the Silliman Lab, her research examines the role of top predators and marine mammals in protecting critical marine ecosystems by regulating mesopredator populations. Madison aspires to use her research to inform marine mammal conservation policy.
